In Dreams/Performance

Creators’ Reflections

“I began by research the song and listening over the lyrics, before then research and thinking of texts which could fit with the theme, keyword and music. Before then sourcing the clips, downloading and trimming them to fit with the prescribed time limited, before then editing in my contribution to the main project video.” (Aidan Dolby)

“I enjoyed the different ways in which I could interpret ‘performance’: some of my clips were based on films where a character is pretending to be someone they’re not, or adopting a persona, while others were more theatrical. The song title ‘In Dreams’ also informed my decisions, from the fantastical sequences to dreams of stardom or simply being with those we love.” (Jemma Saunders)
